Project Abstract
Managed a global project team with responsibility to simultaneously
implement six (6) major enhancements into a single instance of the
corporate SAP application. These six enhancements included the
following:
- Integrate three (3) new products, gained from the parent company,
into the production processes at the manufacturing facility located
in Germany. This involved an international project team working
in several different countries.
- Move a corporate sales office from Singapore to Hong Kong.
This involved total reconfiguration of SAP to incorporated rules
and regulations of the new country.
- Integrate forty-seven (47) new plasma collection centers into
the corporate structure. This effort was the result of a major
acquisition of a new supply company.
- Modify, test, and validate SAP to enable the EURO to be utilized
as the “House Currency” for all of the European locations. This
required modifications and configuration changes within SAP as
well as data conversion from each currency that was being captured
in SAP into EURO’s.
- Implement a new “Sales Office” in France. This was the first
corporate sales office in France and required significant planning
and management effort. This office was implemented with EURO
as the “House Currency”.
- Establish and manage a global Customer Care Team with responsibility
to manage all user requested changes to the corporate SAP system.
Each individual project
required strong global project management and coordination to ensure
success. However, the fact that they all occurred at the same time
and were implementing changes into a single corporate instance of
SAP, further complicated the project management process.
All projects were completed within the time and cost estimates
defined in the original budget.
